The Clos des Bonnes Blanches forms the great historical terroir of our village of Saint Lambert, on the left bank of the Layon. It is a soft nipple that plunges down towards the river. Facing north-east, the Bonnes Blanches face the steep slopes of the Layon fault where we find Vent de Spilite and further downstream the Quarts de Chaume. The rock is an alteration of very brittle schists of light color which gives its name to this place. The soil is made up of gravelly clay rich in quartz.
