Bonnes Blanches Sec

Anjou

Tasting commentary by Manuel Peyrondet, MOF and Best Sommelier of France: "This superb plot which plunges down towards the Layon and brings to light alterations of schist. The layer of clay on the surface, gives Chenin the body and the texture that gives the whole a remarkable tactile smoothness. Fermented in 500 liter demi-muids, it takes on a few nutty notes, which Burgundy lovers will appreciate. In the finish, this big Chenin is tinged with medlar and William's pear, warm notes that are sometimes found in the softness of this terroir".
